For those who are interested in my illustrations of Middle-earth location, I've printed the 6 images into postcard form. They have a back design of my own.

The set is listed on Ebay, and will be shipped from UK. If anyone interested, here's the link: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18131240074…

I'll be very grateful if any of you like these cards and think of purchasing a set directly from me. :)

Thank you!

Yesterday in a fan event, I brought my newly-created illustration with me, and gave them to Mr. Richard Armitage, Mr. Luke Evans and Jude Fisher(the author of The Hobbit Visual Companion).
Far Over the Misty Mountains by Norloth

And to Richard I also gave a portrait of Thorin, which I did 2 months ago. King Under the Mountain by Norloth

To Luke, there was a screen printing of Smaug I created last month, I think he quite enjoyed it. :)

Well, I just gave a bunch of my art to them...and I was so thrilled he just held the portrait and let me take a photo.

Middle-earth Network www.middleearthnetwork.com/ is a network for Tolkien fans, you can regard it as a Middle-earth facebook (My Middle-earth).:giggle:  It's still under testing now, and hopefully it'll be announced to public next week. The site is run by a group of great guys, you can find their page there. And they also have a radio which interviews with people related to the LOTR movie or such.

I have enjoyed my time there, hope you will too! :D

A DAY WITH WETA

4 min read
On Aug.8th, my Ringer friends and I went to the exhibit early in the morning. It was almost the hottest day in summer, but we were told that we would not be allowed into the exhibit until the opening ceremony was over. We didn’t even know there would be a ceremony. It made us excited, because it meant that we might see Richard and other Weta artists later!

So we waited under the sun, until finally, two cars came near and…there Weta was! Honestly, I didn’t know any of them except Richard, but Chunk had told me that looking for the really tall fellow. So I was sure that I could locate Tim in that way…Few seconds later, Richard got out of the car and saw us.

I don’t know if you ever got this feeling, when you meet someone who loves the world of Arda, whoever he/she is, you’ll just regard he/she as a very old friend… Richard was so. He came near, shook hands with each of us, and introduced Tania to us (it was lovely to meet Tania! ). And we introduced ourselves to them, though he must had already recognized those little shiny green leaf broochs on our T-shirts and the One Ring on my neck. (Actually I was so nervous at that time which made me not able to think at all! )

After that, Richard was so nice to sign for us all. When one of us told him his nick was ‘ilovelotr’, Richard wrote down ’I LOVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT LOVE LOTR’ for him. LOL He went upstairs to prepare for the ceremony when finished signing. And it was great that he told us to look for him in the afternoon.

So we just stood in the lobby doing nothing until…Richard came out again with a long, sword-shaped package in him hand. He took out the famous Glamdring thinking that we might be happy to have a look at it! Isn’t he the most lovely Oscar winner in the world?

When it was near to noon, we were not allowed to stay inside as the organizer were preparing for welcome the VIPs and guests. But finally we were very lucky to witness the opening ceremony. (also lucky they allowed us to go inside the exhibit for free. So my ticket can stay for the next time.) After that, everyone at presence could see the exhibit as last…And I will not talk too much about the items as you can see them in the pictures I took.

The most excited moment was always at the end of the day, and this time, it was the precious gift Richard gave us. We were chatting after most of the media and guests left, and when he was about to leave for the charity reception, Richard suddenly held the Gollum sculpture and said he wanted to give it to us as a gift! ‘You can consider to cut it into several pieces. ’he laughed. ’So who’s in charge? ’he asked. The result was that I have a Gollum on my bookcase now. I couldn’t think of any word beside ‘Thank you! ’, and felt so appreciated. Never thought that a person with such fame would treat fans like friends, but that must be the special quality of the makers of Midde-earth.

So I really want to thank Weta for bring the show to China, thank Richard for your generous and precious gift, thank Greg for the imaginable art. WETA Rocks!
